llvm 5 does not terminate getOrInsertFunction parameters with NULL, take
care of that.

As the shift checker could be executed multiple times, we need to avoid
that shift instructions are instrumented multiple times as well.
Mark the instrumented instruction using metadata and avoid it in
successive runs.
|
|
Do not instrument shift operations with constant shift operations that
are smaller than the type size.
|
|
Use llvm::Builder instead of Inst::Create* to create instruction. This
handles metadata automatically and does instruction folding if possible.
Updated to C++11 and clang-formatted.
|
|
DivChecker can be executed multiple times due to the new linking
process.
Avoid instrumenting div instructions multiple times by annotating
checked instructions with marker. Only unmarked div instructions will be
instrumented.
|
|
Do not instrument divisions which do have a constant non-zero value.
|
|
Use llvm::Builder instead of raw `*Inst::create()` functions.
Builder automatically manages metadata (e.g. debug, TBAA, ..) such that
we don't have to take care of this automatically.
Updated code to C++11 and clang-formated it.

In commit b7a6aec4eeb4 (convert iterators using static_cast), I switched
all implicit casts to static_cast. It turned out that llvm 4.0 banned
casting via static_cast. See e.g. 1e2bc42eb988 in the llvm repo what
they do.
So similarly to the above commit, change all the casts of iterators to
"&*" which is what they do in LLVM.

Newer versions of LLVM do not allow to implicitly cast iterators to
pointers where they point. So convert all such uses to explicit
static_cast, the same as LLVM code does.
Otherwise we see errors like:
lib/Core/Executor.cpp:548:15: error: no viable conversion from 'Module::iterator' (aka 'ilist_iterator<llvm::Function>') to 'llvm::Function *'
Function *f = i;

It was marked as deprecated long time ago and finally removed in LLVM
3.9. Remove all uses of getGlobalContext and create our own context.
Propagate it all over the code then.
[v2] use ctx, not C as name

iostream injects static constructor function into every compilation unit.
Remove this to avoid it.

debug information is attached directly to most instructions so
the simpler algorithm added in 5ecfd6e2fd5becc10be355b3a20d014e76e40518
can be used.
Since support for LLVM version < 2.9 has been removed the old algorithm
should be removed.
This has been tested with LLVM 2.9 and LLVM 3.3

Fixed bug where divide by zero bugs would only be detected once in a program

command line argument).
Overshift is where a Shl, AShr or LShr has a shift width greater
than the bit width of the first operand. This is undefined behaviour
in LLVM so we report this as an error.

|
Major changes are:
- Switching to llvm-link to build archive files
- Use GetMallocUsage instead of GetTotalMemoryUsage (be aware of bug in
LLVM 3.3 http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=16847)
- intrinsic library functions like memcpy/mov/set use weak linkage to be
replaced by e.g. uclibc functions
- rewrote linking with library
- enhanced MemoryLimit test case to check if mallocs were successful

version codes. This makes the preprocessor-based version tests more
concise and less error prone.
Also, fix the version tests in lib/Expr/Parser.cpp (immutable zext
and trunc were introduced in LLVM 2.9); now 2.9 passes "make test".

- Lots more tweaks, documentation, and web page content is needed,
but this should compile & work on OS X & Linux.
